"of a color intermediate between red and white"
This work calls upon the power of color to activate public space and puts forth questions about the rarity of pink within our built environment. Through deployment of color, high-lite: pink primer injects delight into what is a relatively insignificant and objectively bland pedestrian corridor. Embracing the emotional impact of color transformation while also experimenting with bluntness, this public artwork masks itself as a much-needed revamp to a moderately traveled footbridge in an effort to introduce more pink into Houston's public sphere.
The pinkified footbridge shall remain supervised and documented by the artists to contribute to the ongoing development of a pink manifesto.
